Vincent Joseph Hines

Vincent Joseph Hines (born September 14, 1912 in New Haven , Connecticut , USA , † April 23, 1990 ) was Bishop of Norwich .

Life

Vincent Joseph Hines received on 2 May 1937, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 27, 1959, Pope John XXIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Norwich. The Archbishop of Hartford , Henry Joseph O'Brien , donated him episcopal ordination on March 17, 1960 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Worcester , Bernard Joseph Flanagan , and the auxiliary bishop of Hartford, John Francis Hackett .

Hines participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.

Vincent Joseph Hines stepped down as Bishop of Norwich on June 5, 1975.
