Daniel Patrick Reilly

Daniel Patrick Reilly (born May 12, 1928 in Providence ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and former Bishop of Worcester .

Life

Daniel Patrick Reilly was ordained a priest for the diocese of Providence on May 30, 1953 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Norwich on June 5, 1975 . The Archbishop of Hartford , John Francis Whealon , donated him episcopal ordination on August 6 of that year ; Co- consecrators were Vincent Joseph Hines , Old Bishop of Norwich, and Louis Edward Gelineau , Bishop of Providence.

He was named Bishop of Worcester on October 27, 1994, and inducted into office on November 8 of that year. On March 9, 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
