Daniel Anthony Hart (born August 24, 1927 in Lawrence , Massachusetts , USA ; † January 14, 2008 ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Norwich .

Life

Daniel Anthony Hart studied Catholic theology , business administration and education at Boston College, St. John's Seminary in Brighton and at Boston State, now the University of Massachusetts Boston . He was ordained a priest on February 2, 1953 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

In 1976 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. Appointed Titular Bishop of Tepelta and Auxiliary Bishop in Boston . He was ordained bishop on October 18, 1976, by the Archbishop of Boston, Cardinal Humberto Sousa Medeiros ; Co-consecrators were the Boston auxiliary bishops Thomas Joseph Riley and Lawrence Joseph Riley . In 1997 Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Norwich . In 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted Daniel Anthony Hart's age-related resignation.

He died of complications from cancer.
