Timothy Joseph Harrington

Timothy Joseph Harrington (born December 19, 1918 in Holyoke , Massachusetts , United States , † March 23, 1997 ) was a Roman Catholic clergyman and Bishop of Worcester .

Life

Timothy Joseph Harrington was ordained a priest on January 19, 1946 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on April 2, 1968 Titular Bishop of Rusuca and Auxiliary Bishop in Worcester. The Bishop of Worcester, Bernard Joseph Flanagan , ordained him episcopal on July 2 of that year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Pittsburgh , John Joseph Wright , and the Bishop of Springfield , Christopher Joseph Weldon .

On September 1, 1983, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Worcester . The inauguration took place on October 13 of the same year.

On October 27, 1994, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
