Vincent Langer (born October 18, 1986 in Preetz ) is a German windsurfer , IFCA world champion and multiple winner of the German Windsurf Cup .

biography

Langer learned windsurfing under the guidance of his father when he was six . At the age of eleven he won his first regattas and in 2006 he was appointed to the German team for the Olympic windsurfing class RS: X. After he missed the qualification for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , he focused on the disciplines of slalom and formula. Success was achieved here. Langer became German champion for the first time in 2013 and defended this title five times. He was also IFCA slalom world champion in 2015 and 2016 . In 2017 Langer also won the IFCA Formula World Championship and came second in the slalom at the Windsurf World Cup Sylt .

Langer lives in Kiel and has completed a teaching degree in history and sports at the University of Flensburg . In 2017 he founded his own wetsuit company Vinc . He belongs to the sailing club Bayer Uerdingen and regularly organizes windsurf camps for children.
