Vincent Mojwok Nyiker

Vincent Mojwok Nyiker (born January 25, 1933 in Atigo-Tonga , † January 5, 2018 in Khartoum ) was a South Sudanese clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Malakal .

Life

Vincent Mojwok Nyiker received him on July 21, 1963 to be ordained a priest for the Apostolic Prefecture of Malakal.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Malakal on March 15, 1979. The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on May 27 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Curia Archbishops Duraisamy Simon Lourdusamy , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , and Eduardo Martínez Somalo , Substitute of the State Secretariat .

On May 16, 2009, Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
