Vincenzo Accame

Vincenzo Accame (born August 6, 1932 in Loano ; died July 16, 1999 in Milan ) was an Italian poet and translator.

His poetry, inherently derived from writing, focused on the visual arts in a persistent search and analysis of the possible relationships and connections between linguistic and pictorial expression, exploring the possibilities of aesthetic formation in the interrelation of various forms of signs. This search is also the central theme of his essayistic work. He gave a valid representation of his conception of art in 1998 in the volume Anestetica .

In 1964 he was editor of the neo-avanguard magazine Malebenue . He translated Paul Éluard , Hans Arp and, above all, several works by Alfred Jarry .
