Vincenzo Labella
Vincenzo Labella (* 1925 in Vatican City ; † July 28, 2018 in Los Angeles ) was an Italian screenwriter , film producer and film director .
biography
Labella began his film career in 1961 as a consultant for Richard Fleischers Barabbas and in 1965 as co-screenwriter for Ermanno Olmis There came a person: In the footsteps of John XXIII.
He produced several historical and Bible adaptations, including four mini-series . His 1977 TV series Jesus of Nazareth was nominated twice for Emmy and Marco Polo was nominated eight times in 1982. In 2004 he directed The Wonders of the Vatican Library - a nearly three-hour documentary.
