from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vincenzo Seratrice (born December 20, 1913 in Sulmona , Italy , † after 1971) was an Italian cameraman .

Live and act

Seratrice attended the Istituto Luce from 1929 to 1933 , where he received his photo-technical training. Subsequently, in the 1930s, the young photographer from central Italy worked his way up from being a camera assistant to a simple cameraman. On the eve of the Second World War , Seratrice got his first job as chief cameraman, but remained active as a simple cameraman for the following years (during the war).

In a good three decades of his active time as a picture designer, Vincenzo Seratrice worked with a number of well-known directors, including Augusto Genina , Vittorio De Sica , Roberto Rossellini , Camillo Mastrocinque , Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia , Mario Mattòli , Max Neufeld and Sergio Corbucci , without being Head cameraman to have photographed a production of film historical importance. The majority of the films he photographed were melodramas, romances, coat-and-sword stories and sandal stripes. His career ended in the early 1970s with camera work on several television productions, including series. When and where he died is currently not known.
