Vincze by Borbás
Vincze of Borbás , also Vincent , Vince (* 29. July 1844 in Ipoly Litke , Hungary , † 7. July 1905 in Cluj ) was a Hungarian, k. k. and k. u. k. Austrian botanist . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is " Borbás ".
Live and act
He has named several hundred plant species as new to science. Of these described "species", however, a large part is not accepted as an independent species by today's taxonomists .
Honors
Several plant species were named after him, including the horn clover Lotus borbasii and the red plant Asperula borbasiana . The magazines Borbasia (1938 to 1940) and Borbasia Nova (published 1940 to 1949) have been named in his honor.
