Vinderup municipality was a Danish municipality in what was then Ringkjøbing Amt in Jutland until December 2006 . Since January 2007 it has been part of the new Holstebro municipality together with the “old” Holstebro municipality and Ulfborg-Vemb municipality .

Vinderup municipality was created in the course of the administrative reform of 1970 and included the following Sogn :

• Ejsing Sogn
• Handbjerg Sogn
• Ryde Sogn
• Sahl Sogn
• Sevel Sogn
• Trandum Sogn
• Vinderup Sogn
