Life

He came from the Henniger von Seeberg family , which originally came from Fulda, received the Bohemian knighthood with the Inkolat in 1423 and was raised to the baron status in 1744. The part of the name Desfours zu Mont and Adienville, which Henniger led with imperial approval since 1874, was derived from the family of his mother, Maria Countess Desfours zu Mont and Adienville (Athienville). His father Adalbert (* 1807 in Prague, † 1873 in Mietków ) was Vice-President of the Lieutenancy in Bohemia. He had planned a military career for his son. Vinzenz Henniger began his military career as a cadet of the 32nd Feldjäger Battalion in Infantry Regiment No. 18. In 1866 he was promoted to sub-lieutenant. This was followed by the usual officer career for members of his class as lieutenant, first lieutenant, captain and major. In 1890 Henniger was accepted into the religious order in the Teutonic Order Church in Vienna by the high and German master Archduke Wilhelm of Austria and knighted. In September 1892 he was assigned to serve the Archduke. Two years later he was transferred to the court of Archduke Eugene. After the titular Feldzeugmeister Johann Freiherr Koblitz von Willmburg had retired in 1895, Henniger was appointed head of the archducal chamber. He did his job with great skill and care. Henniger von Seeburg was the recipient of several prestigious awards. In 1906 he was given the title and character of major general. In 1911 he was appointed field marshal lieutenant. Henniger retired on November 1, 1912. Major Stephan von Szmrecsanyi followed him into the office.

Varia
