Violin Concerto (Britten)

Benjamin Britten wrote his Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 15 , shortly after his crossing to the United States in 1939 . It premiered the following year in New York by John Barbirolli and the New York Philharmonic with Antonio Brosa as soloist.
