Virginia Spencer Carr

Virginia Spencer Carr (born July 21, 1929 in West Palm Beach , Florida , † April 10, 2012 in Lynn , Massachusetts ) was an American literary scholar .

Life

In 1969, Carr received his PhD from Florida State University .

For more than 25 years she taught as a professor at Columbus State University and Georgia State University in Atlanta . 1980/81 taught in Poland as part of the Fulbright program .

She has authored award-winning biographies of Carson McCullers , John Dos Passos, and Paul Bowles .
