Virus Alert is a song by Weird Al Yankovic . This song, which describes the escalating consequences of a fictional computer virus , is a pastiche of the Sparks style and at the same time a parody of the many computer virus hoaxes that have spread via e-mail in recent years. The title was released in 2006 on the album Straight Outta Lynwood .
