Visusti (German Wissust ) is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the Estonian rural community of Palamuse in Jõgeva County . It has 123 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2001).

The village of Visusti was first recorded as Visszel in 1449 . The Baltic German estate of Visusti ( Visusti mõis ) was first mentioned in 1473 under the name Fissel as part of the parish of Äksi ( Ecks ). In 1745 it was owned by nobleman Carl Gustav von Stahl . From the 1820s until the Estonian land reform in 1919 , Visusti was owned by the Oettingen family .

The mansion was built around the turn of the 20th century. The so-called Heimatstil with elements of Art Nouveau was architecturally defining . After the Estonian land reform, it served as a German primary school. In 1933 the manor burned down. It was rebuilt in a simplified form with no ornamentation and without the original turrets. Today the mansion is privately owned and is falling into disrepair.

The Riga garden architect Georg Kuphaldt (1853–1938) designed the estate's forest park with numerous avenues from 1895 .

Before the First World War , German farm workers from Volhynia settled in Visusti.

The Visusti bog ( Visusti soo ) is located near the village .
