Vitolo - actually Víctor José Javier Añino Bermúdez (born September 9, 1983 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife ) - is a Spanish football player .

Career

Vitolo started his career as a professional footballer at CD Tenerife , the largest and most famous football club in his home country. Between 2001 and 2005 he was able to earn a regular place with the "Inselkickern", which also made him interesting for the youth national teams. At the U-20 World Cup in 2003 he was able to reach the final with Spain . Since he could not develop further in terms of sport at CD Tenerife, Vitolo preferred to switch to Racing Santander . After two seasons as a regular, the coach did not plan with him any more, so that the loan contract with Celta came about, where he was able to develop into a regular again without convincing lastingly. Celta waived the purchase option and Racing did not need it either.

In the summer of 2008 he finally switched to the Greek first division club Aris Thessaloniki on loan . A year later, in the summer of 2009, Vitolo moved from Racing Santander to PAOK Saloniki on a free transfer and received a four-year contract, as Racing Santander could no longer keep him due to outstanding salary payments and thus had to be forced to leave.

On July 13, 2011, Vitolo prematurely terminated his contract with PAOK.

After Vitolo worked for Panathinaikos Athens for two years , he moved to the Turkish first division club Elazığspor in the summer of 2013 .

For the 2014/15 season Vitolo returned to CD Tenerife after nine years.
