Martinho Ndafa Kabi (born September 17, 1957 in Nhacra , Oio region ) was Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau from 2007 to 2008. He is a member of the Partido Africano da Independência da Guiné e Cabo Verde (PAIGC). From 2003 onwards he was the party's third vice chairman.

Kabi has been Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau since April 13, 2007, succeeding Aristides Gomes . From May 2004 he was Minister for Energy and Natural Resources in the government of Prime Minister Carlos Gomes Júnior . In April 2005 he became Minister of Defense . He held this post until the government of Aristides Gomes took office in November 2005. After Aristides Gomes lost a vote of confidence and resigned in March 2007, Kabi was proposed as the new Prime Minister by a coalition. This coalition consisted of the PAIGC, the Partido para a Renovação Social (PRS) and the Partido Unido Social Democrático (PUSD). President João Bernardo Vieira had rejected Kabi, but the coalition insisted on her decision; so that Vieira appointed Kabi as the new Prime Minister. He took office on April 13, 2007 and his new government of 20 ministers was appointed on April 17. When the PAIGC terminated the coalition in early August 2008, Kabi was dismissed by President Vieira and Carlos Correia became the new Prime Minister .
