Viviane Blumenschein

Viviane Blumenschein (born October 27, 1969 in Stelle, Lower Saxony ) is a German director and screenwriter.

Life

Blumenschein studied cultural studies and worked as an assistant director in advertising. Since 2004 she has also made her own documentaries, image films and advertising. Blumenschein lives and works in Berlin.

Her documentary Dance for all , produced with Elena Bromund, was awarded the Eastman Prize for Young Talent at the 2007 Hof International Film Festival.

In the road movie Midsummer Night's Tango , she brings together Aki Kaurismäki's thesis that the tango comes from Finland , three Argentine tango experts Pablo Greco, Chino Laborde and Diego Kvitko with Reijo Taipale , Sanna Pietiäinen and MA Numminen .
