Viviane Vives (born October 25, 1961 in Barcelona , Spain ) is a Spanish actress , photographer and author .

Education and acting

Viviane Vives studied journalism and advertising at the university in her hometown of Barcelona and later continued her education with the film and television courses at the New York University .

She began filming for the first time in the mid-1980s. Viviane Vives appeared in both cinema and television productions; As early as 1986, an engagement led her to Chile , where she stood in front of the camera for an episode (“In the Last Minute”) of the German adventure and trucker series Auf Fahrt . Since 1989 she has been shooting mainly English-language productions.

In 1990 Viviane Vives was given a continuous role in the English TV series El CID for the first time and appeared a little later in six episodes of the American-Spanish crime and action series The Conspirators, which was partly shot in and around Barcelona . As a result, Viviane Vives settled in the USA in the early 90s and took part in one or the other Hollywood productions with supporting roles, without leaving too much of an impression. In the thriller Heat , which starred with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro , she was only seen for a second. In the late 1990s Viviane Vives began to be more and more interested in other fields of work.

Viviane Vives has lived in Austin since 1997 and is married to the local Texan architect Morris Jerome Neal (* 1960). Together they run their own architecture office, MJ Neal Architects, which is also designed as an interdisciplinary meeting place. She also writes articles for magazines and works as a photographer with her own exhibitions. In addition, she creates her own film documentaries, such as "Brayton Field" for the Cuero Heritage Museum in Texas in 2000.

Viviane Vives has Catalan (father) and French (mother) roots. In addition to Catalan, Spanish and English, she also speaks French and Portuguese.
