Vlad Munteanu (* 16th January 1981 in Bacau , county Bacau ) is a former Romanian football player and current official .

society

Munteanu played in his youth at FCM Bacau . At the age of 19 he moved to the top club Dinamo Bucharest . In 2001 he won his first title with Dinamo and became a cup winner. By 2006, the midfielder won two championships and three cup wins with the capital club and played several rounds in the UEFA Cup . Except for the second half of the 2004/05 season, where he was loaned to FC Național Bucharest , he played 94 times for Dinamo in the Romanian first division .

In 2006 the Romanian moved to the Bundesliga for Energie Cottbus . He scored a total of eleven goals in 33 games for the Lausitzer.

In July 2007 he signed a four-year contract with league rivals VfL Wolfsburg . But after only six months he fell victim to the extensive team restructuring of coach Felix Magath and so he moved to France on loan to AJ Auxerre at the end of January . For the 2008/09 season he returned to Wolfsburg after the loan had expired. In the winter break of 2008/09 he was loaned to Arminia Bielefeld , where he made 15 appearances in the second half of the season. A long stay of the Romanian failed due to the club's relegation at the end of the season. A new coach, Armin Veh , joined Wolfsburg for the 2009/10 round , but Munteanu could not play in the Bundesliga team under him either, he only made a few appearances in the regional league team. At the end of January 2010 he was loaned out again, this time to the relegation-threatened second division club FSV Frankfurt . In the summer of 2010 Munteanu returned to Wolfsburg, but was not used in the first half of the 2010/11 season in either the Bundesliga or the regional league team. On January 20, 2011, VfL Wolfsburg prematurely terminated the contract with Munteanu, who then returned to Dinamo Bucharest . There he came in the second half of the 2010/11 season but only on five missions. In the following summer break he moved to CS Concordia Chiajna . He left Romania on June 6, 2012 and returned to Germany, where he signed a contract with FC Erzgebirge Aue . However, after just one season he had to leave the club.
