Vladas Katkevičius
Vladas Katkevičius (born March 18, 1937 in Kaunas ; † December 13, 2009 ) was a Lithuanian engineer and electrical mechanic , professor and politician .
Life
After graduating from the Kaunas Middle School in 1955, Katkevičius completed his diploma studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Kauno politechnikos institutas (KPI) from 1955 to 1961 . From 1961 to 1962 he worked in Kėdainiai . From 1962 he taught at KPI, from 1993 as a professor. From 1995 to 1997 he was a member of the council and mayor of the municipality of Kaunas . From 1997 to 1999 he was Vice Minister for Administrative Reform and Community Affairs.
His grave is in the Karmėlava cemetery .
