Vladimír Mikulka

Vladimír Mikulka (born December 11, 1950 in Prague ) is a Czech classical guitarist .

Life

Mikulka started playing the guitar when he was thirteen . At the age of 17 he became a student of Professor Jiří Jirmal at the Prague Conservatory , where he studied until 1974. He led master classes and gave concerts all over the world. In 1980 he performed the work The Prince's Toys composed for him by Nikita Koschkin in Paris. He also produced for French television and radio. He has recorded compositions by Štěpán Rak , Michail Rudnev , Einojuhani Rautavaara , Milan Tesar , Pierre Ancelin , Antonio Ruiz-Pipó , John Duarte and Patrice Sciortino on CD. In 1981 he studied the lute at the Early Music Center in London . Mikulka lives in France, settled in Paris in 1982 and teaches at the Conservatoires de la Ville de Paris and at the Schola Cantorum .
