Vlastimil Ružička (born February 27, 1925 in Louny , † March 29, 1985 in Bratislava ) was a Slovak cyclist who was active in Czechoslovakia in the 1940s and 1950s .

In 1947 four Czechoslovakian cyclists took part in the world amateur cycling championship for road cyclists , including 22-year-old Vlastimil Ružička. However, due to the great heat prevailing on the day of the race, all four Czechoslovak drivers retired early.

1950 Ružička belonged to the Czechoslovak national team, which took part in the three-country stage trip International Peace Tour. The newcomer to the team won four stages and finished third in the final ranking as the best Czechoslovakian. In addition to the 1950 peace trip, Ružička was also part of the Czechoslovak peace trip team in 1951, 1953, 1954 and 1957. He achieved his best final result in 1954 with second place, winning a total of twelve stages. In 1950, 1951 and 1954 he won the team championship with the Czechoslovak team . At his last start in 1957 he was able to cross the finish line one last time on stage 6.

At the Czechoslovak cyclo-cross championships Ružička won the title in 1952, was second in 1953 and third in 1954. He won another victory in 1953 in the Czechoslovak stage race Bratislava - Prague. He finished the Tour of Slovakia in 1954 in fourth place, in 1955 in third place in the overall ranking and in 1956 was able to achieve a stage victory. In 1959 he ended his active career at the age of 34.
