The Vocalconsort Leipzig is a chamber choir under the direction of Franziska Kuba.

It was founded in 1999 on the initiative of the current Gewandhaus choir director Gregor Meyer . Franziska Kuba has directed it since 2018. The ensemble is primarily dedicated to the interpretation of sacred choral music between the Baroque and Romantic periods . The core repertoire is centered around Central German baroque music up to 1700; The ensemble's specialties also include music by the Leipzig composers Sethus Calvisius (1556–1615) and Sigfrid Karg-Elert (1877–1933). In 2002 the Vocalconsort Leipzig was one of the winners of the International Robert Schumann Choir Competition in Zwickau. The 25 or so singers have all enjoyed a solid musical education.

The Vocalconsort Leipzig sings regularly in the Leipzig Thomaskirche , the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig and the Dresden Kreuzkirche , performs at the Leipzig Bach Festival , the MDR Musiksommer and in the major churches of Hamburg and Erfurt, among others. It works closely with the Gewandhaus Choir and gives concerts under conductors such as Trevor Pinnock and Russel Davies.

Concert tours took the Vocalconsort Leipzig in 2011 to Minsk - a partnership connects it with the choir of the Belarusian State University in Minsk - and in 2012 to Travnik in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
