Bailiwick of Stollhamm

The Vogtei Stollhamm was an administrative unit belonging to Oldenburg . It existed until 1811.

scope

The parish of Stollhamm with the farmers of Iffens and Stollhamm , as well as Stollhammer Ahndeich and Stollhammerwisch made up the bailiwick. To the west of the Bailiwick of Stollhamm was the Bailiwick of Eckwarden and the Jadebusen , to the north was the Bailiwick Burhave , to the east the Bailiwick Abbehausen and to the south the Bailiwick of Schwei .

economy

In the Bailiwick of Stollhamm, especially potatoes and rape were grown. Rye, wheat, barley, oats and beans were also found in the fields to meet the needs of the inhabitants. Cattle breeding was the main line of business for the Stollhammer. Most of the cattle and horse exports went to Berlin , Braunschweig and Magdeburg . Some of the represented professions have been handed down for the year 1809: a beer brewer, three cooper, two glassmakers, two merchants, seven Kruger, a saddler, three blacksmiths, six tailors, five shoemakers, a carpenter and a carpenter.

Infrastructure

In addition to a preacher, the parish village of Stollhamm also had a teacher, who was both sexton and organist. However, there was no school in the church, but there was in Stollhammer Ahndeich and Stollhammerwisch.
