Riplap, Jelgen, Melkschap, Osterhausen, Beckmannsfeld, Mitteldeich and Stollhammerdeich belong to Iffens. The first mention of Iffens was in 1315. In the 14th century the farmers of Iffens lost their western part due to the collapse of the Jade Bay . In 1638 a one-class school was opened, which in 1855 had 49 students.
