Ruhwarden is a place in the municipality of Butjadingen in northwest Lower Saxony .
General
Ruhwarden is located in the northwest of the Butjadingen peninsula , only 1400 meters from the North Sea. The well-tended gardens and stately homesteads are particularly characteristic of the Wurtendorf . The center of the village is the old dairy building and the village's park.
The facade of the listed guest house from 1889 and the Galerie am Wehlhamm, which has been hosting changing exhibitions on painting, graphics and handicrafts by North German artists, as well as vernissages, readings, slide shows and seminars, are culturally interesting .
Transport links
Ferry connections exist all year round over the Weser from Nordenham to Bremerhaven and in the summer months over the Jade Bay from Eckwarderhörne to Wilhelmshaven . There is a train connection to Bremen from Nordenham . The community is connected to the A27 via the Weser tunnel south of Nordenham .
