Volker Gantner

Volker Gantner (born January 30, 1945 in Ludwigsburg ) is a German local politician . From 1985 to 2008 he was Lord Mayor of Herrenberg .

He received his doctorate in 1983 on the subject of causation and attribution in the law of hazard prevention . In 1985 Gantner was elected Lord Mayor of Herrenberg by 57 percent of the voters , replacing Heinz Schroth . He was confirmed in 1993 by 87 percent of voters for a second term as Lord Mayor of Herrenberg. In 2001 he was re-elected with an election result of 95 percent. Gantner resigned from the office of Lord Mayor on January 31, 2008, the day following his 63rd birthday. His successor was Thomas Sprißler .
