Volker Kronseder
Volker Kronseder (born October 12, 1953 in Neutraubling ) is a German entrepreneur and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Krones AG .
Live and act
As the oldest of four sons of the entrepreneur Hermann Kronseder , he grew up in Neutraubling in the Upper Palatinate . He completed his studies in industrial engineering with a degree in industrial engineering (FH) in Munich .
In 1981 he joined Krones AG, founded by his father, then the global market leader in beverage filling and packaging machines . Until 1983 he worked for the Brazilian subsidiary Krones SA in São Paulo .
From 1984 to 1988 he was an authorized signatory at the Krones AG headquarters. There he was responsible for human resources, IT and advertising.
From November 1988 he became a deputy member of the Executive Board of Krones AG. A year later, in 1989, he became a member of the commercial board. From January 1996 to the end of 2015 he was CEO of Krones AG. His work for the company was shown, among other things, in the reduction of overcapacities , the relocation of the product range from machine manufacture to the production of complete systems and in a restructuring of Krones AG into the business areas of brewing technology, pasteurization systems , process automation and adhesives for labels and packaging .
On July 11, 2003, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich awarded him an honorary doctorate (Dr.-Ing. E. h.), In recognition of his exceptional achievements and ideas in research and development of innovative filling systems and plastic machines and in corporate management, awarded.
In 2005 he was elected chairman of the Association for Food Processing and Packaging Machines within the Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering (VDMA). Furthermore, he is a member of the narrow board of the VDMA as well as a board member of the VDMA Bavarian group .
Kronseder is married and has two children.
