Volkmar Götz
Volkmar Götz (born November 28, 1934 in Plauen ) is a German legal scholar.
Life
The doctorate to Dr. jur. took place in 1960 ( liability for material defects when purchasing ), in 1966 he became a private lecturer at the University of Frankfurt . In the following year Volkmar Götz became a full professor at the University of Göttingen . In 1998 he was given a Jean Monnet Chair in European Law . Besides European law, he conducts research in many areas of public law, e.g. B. the police and regulatory law , economic administration law and agricultural law . After reunification , he was involved in the reconstruction of the law faculty at the University of Halle-Wittenberg from 1991 to 1993 .
In 1971 he became a part-time judge at the OVG Lüneburg and in 1991 a deputy member of the Lower Saxony State Court .
He has now retired.
