Volkmar Krauss
Volkmar Krauss (* 1941 ; † 1999 in Langenau ) was a German local politician of the DSU and the CDU .
Krauss was on 17 May 1990 until its dissolution on July 31, 1994 District Administrator of the district Brand-Erbisdorf in Saxony .
On January 24, 1999, Krauss was elected Lord Mayor of the large district town of Brand-Erbisdorf as the successor to the sick Peter Fritsch . Volkmar Krauss died in autumn 1999 when he fell down stairs at home. His successor as Lord Mayor was from 2000 Volker Zweig.
