Volkmar von Fürstenfeld
Volkmar von Fürstenfeld (also Volckmer ) († 1314 ) was a Cistercian monk and historian. From 1284 he was abbot of the Fürstenfeld monastery .
Volkmar was the confessor of the Bavarian duke and founder of the monastery, Ludwig II. He wrote important historical writings, such as the Chronicle of the Dukes of Bavaria , the life of Emperor Ludwig IV and the Bavarian continuation of the Saxon World Chronicle .
