Horkheim
The Horkheim eGmuH loan fund association was founded on March 11, 1914. The First World War soon followed, followed by economic depression and inflation in the 1920s. On April 7, 1935, the company name was changed to "Spar- und Loanhenskasse eGmuH". In 1953, an office and warehouse building was built on Nussäckerstraße. A weighing room was created on the ground floor for the tobacco farming association. At the general assembly on June 13, 1964, the name change to Genossenschaftsbank Horkheim eGmbH was decided. The merger with Fleiner Bank finally followed on January 1, 1970.
Flein
On February 24, 1918, the Loan Association was founded in Flein. The tasks of the loan association at the time lay in accepting cash deposits and granting loans that were mainly needed for fertilizer and seeds. At the same time, the goods store was built up. On May 7, 1973, the new bank headquarters in Heilbronner Strasse was able to move into. Technical and personnel developments meant that in 1991 an expansion of the bank building became necessary.
Talheim
On April 21, 1918, the loan association was founded in Talheim. In 1938 the company moved into an acquired building at Bahnhofstrasse 50. Soon the bank was renamed “Talheimer Bank eGmbH” and designated as a local bank. In 1985 the new building in Hauptstrasse followed. The development of the bank and the entire economy advanced noticeably. In 1992 there was finally a merger with Fleiner Bank and thus “Volksbank Flein-Talheim eG”.
