history

The oldest pillar of Volksbank Rhein-Lippe eG is the Götterswickerhammer advance payment association, which was founded on December 28, 1867. The Bislicher Loan Association was established in 1881 and the Drevenack savings and loan association in 1900. Today's Volksbank Rhein-Lippe eG is based on these three pillars. In 2003 the bank merged with "Volksbank eG, Hamminkeln" and in 2018 with " Volksbank Dinslaken eG".

Community Foundation

A group of citizens from the Hamminkeln, Hünxe, Voerde and Wesel region took the initiative in early 2006 together with Volksbank Rhein-Lippe eG and founded the "KREAKTIV - Children Support - Rhein-Lippe Community Foundation". This was also the 100th community foundation in Germany. Supporting children in the development of their creativity and overall personality in a very targeted manner and counteracting increasing media dependency, that is the concern of KREAKTIV - promoting children - community foundation Rhein-Lippe. For children and young people up to the age of 14, KREAKTIV develops, organizes and accompanies a wide variety of projects and offers in order to promote the development of creativity and a sense of community.
