Adult Education Center Rur-Eifel
The Rur-Eifel Adult Education Center (VHS Rur-Eifel) has its office in the district town of Düren in North Rhine-Westphalia .
The head of the adult education center is Dr. Wilma Viol (as of 2020). The main office of the school is located in the former building of the Kornhausschule, a special school, at Violengasse 2 in Düren. There are branches in the member communities.
The municipalities Heimbach , Hürtgenwald , Inden , Kreuzau , Langerwehe , Merzenich , Nideggen , Niederzier , Nörvenich and Vettweiß have entered into a cooperation with the city of Düren and have merged to form the VHS Rur-Eifel (formerly adult education center of the district of Düren and adult education center of the city of Düren ) . The program includes political, professional, cultural and personal offers. In addition, this VHS is a municipal examination center and offers nationally and internationally recognized degrees, certificates and exams. The VHS also offers excursions in its program.

Since October 1, 2018, Dr. Wilma Viol. The long-time director, Friedhelm Eßer, took early retirement in May 2018.
