The Vrátenská hora (German Wratener Berg ) is a mountain of volcanic origin in Okres Mělník ( Melnik District ) in the Central Bohemian Region . It is located in the eastern part of the Daubaer Schweiz nature reserve, approx. 5 km from the town of Mšeno ( Wemschen ) and above the village of Libovice ( Libowis ).

A wooden lookout tower , which can be reached via the blue hiking trail Nosálov - Houska, was built in 1893 by firemen from Wemschen. In 1999, a new observation tower was opened together with mobile radio transmission systems.
The observation tower offers a panoramic view of the Velký Bezděz ( Bösig ) with the castle Bezděz ( Castle Bösig ), the Malý Bezděz ( Neuberg ), the Ralsko Hügelland ( Rollberg-Hügelland ), the castle Houska , the nature reserve Daubaer Schweiz, the Bohemian Uplands and Prague .
geomorphology
The hill belongs to the geomorphological unit of the Ralská pahorkatina ( Rollberg hill country ), the geomorphological sub-unit of the Dokeská pahorkatina ( Hirschberg hill country ) and the Housecká vrchovina.
