Vumbu (also Yivoumbou) is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 2460 people in Gabon (2000 census).

It is common in the province of Ngounié west of Mouila .

classification

Vumbu is a northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Sira group , which is classified as Guthrie Zone B40. Vumbu is related to the Yipunu language.
