Lumbu (also Baloumbou and Ilumbu) is a Bantu language and is spoken by around 22,720 people in Gabon and the Republic of the Congo (2000 census).

It is widespread in Gabon in the Nyanga Province between the Nyanga and Bangua rivers on the border with the Republic of the Congo with around 19,700 speakers and in the Republic of the Congo in the Niari region in the Kibangou district on the border with Gabon with around 3020 speakers.

Lumbu is written in the Latin script .

Lumbu is a Northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Sira group , which is classified as Guthrie Zone B40.
