Until 1969, Vussem-Bergheim was a municipality in the Schleiden district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Today Vussem-Bergheim is a district of the city of Mechernich in the Euskirchen district .
geography
Vussem-Bergheim consists of the two villages Vussem and Bergheim , which are both about two kilometers south of the center of Mechernich. Both villages are now separate districts of the city of Mechernich. The former municipality of Vussem-Bergheim had an area of 3.41 km².
history
Since the 19th century, Vussem-Bergheim formed a rural community in the mayor's office Vussem (from 1928 Amt Mechernich ) of the Schleiden district in the administrative district of Aachen . On July 1, 1969, the municipality was incorporated into the municipality of Mechernich by the law on the reorganization of municipalities in the Schleiden district.
