Vyacheslav Gennadjewitsch Butussow ( Russian Вячеслав Геннадьевич Бутусов ; born October 15, 1961 in Bugach , Krasnoyarsk region ) was the front man of the Russian rock band Nautilus Pompilius until 1997 and has been the lead singer at Ju-Piter since 2001 .

biography

Vyacheslav Gennadjewitsch Butusov was born in Bugach , a settlement in the Krasnoyarsk Territory . Because of his father's job, the family moved several times and Vyacheslav changed schools several times up to the ninth grade and lived in different Siberian cities. He spent his first years of study in an architecture academy, where he met the musician Dmitri Umnezki and with him founded the band Nautilus Pompilius in 1982 . In 1997 Butusov started a solo career and played an episode role in the film The Brother (original title: Russian Брат ), before he founded a band again in 2001. He met the remaining musicians of the Kino group and founded the rock group Ju-Piter with them . This commitment was recognized in 2005 with the MUS-TW award for investing in the development of Russian rock. Two years later he wrote a book called "Wirgostan" ( Russian Виргостан ); He is married and has four kids.
