Włodzimierz Czacki
Włodzimierz Czacki (born April 16, 1834 in Poryck (today's Ukraine ), † March 8, 1888 in Rome ) was an Archbishop of the Curia and Cardinal of the Roman Church .
Life
Czacki was initially a seminarian at the Pontifical Polish College in Rome. After studying theology , he received the sacrament of ordination on November 30, 1867 . On August 12, 1879 he was by Pope Leo XIII. Appointed Titular Archbishop of Salamis . He received his episcopal ordination on August 17th of the same year by Cardinal Flavio Chigi ; Co-consecrators were Archbishop Angelo Bianchi and Placido Petacci , Auxiliary Bishop in the Sabina diocese . From September 19, 1879 until his death he was apostolic nuncio in France .
In the consistory of September 25, 1882 he was created cardinal and received the Roman Church of Santa Pudenziana as the titular church .
