Wilhelm Ludwig Christiansen

Wilhelm Ludwig Christiansen (* 1920 in Flensburg ; † March 31, 2011 ) was a German homeland researcher, city ​​guide and writer as well as politician of the South Schleswig voter association (SSW) and the Social Democratic Party of Flensburg (SPF).

Career

In 1946 Christiansen took up a position as office manager in the union building. The Danish minority's political career began that same year in the same house. First he joined the SPF, a Flensburg split from the Social Democratic Party of Germany , which campaigned for the reunification of Denmark with the part of southern Schleswig , which was lost after the referendum of 1920 , after the Second World War . In 1948 Christiansen became involved as a founding member of the SSW and took over the post as the first state manager. As the last living eyewitness, he witnessed the constitution of the 1st German Bundestag after the 1949 Bundestag election with the collaboration of the only SSW Bundestag member to date , Hermann Clausen . For the SSW he appeared in later years as a community council member, member of the district assembly of North Friesland and councilor in the Flensburg city council.

In addition to his political work in the SSW, which lasted until the 1970s, Christiansen worked as a newspaper commentator and city guide in Flensburg. At the age of 69 he enrolled at the University of Odense and at the age of 70 began to write books that deal, among other things, with the mixed language Petuh , his mother's mother tongue . Among other things, he published the Petuh-ABC, the first dictionary of this Flensburg city language , in 2003 .
