WASP-12 is a star of the spectral class G0 in the constellation Fuhrmann . It is orbited by an exoplanet called WASP-12 b .

The star may also have stellar companions, making the system a double or multiple star system .

Exoplanet

WASP-12 b is an exoplanet with a mass of about 1.4 Jupiter and is counted among the Hot Jupiters . It orbits the central star with a period of 1.1 days at a distance of about 0.0207 astronomical units with an eccentricity of about 0.05. WASP-12 b was discovered during the SuperWASP project using the transit method. His discovery was published in 2008.
