life and career
In 1993, WC was involved in a murder case at a Los Angeles disco. He was accused of shooting and killing a man in the back. All charges against WC were dropped because a member of his group called Big.K (aka The Teaman) took the full blame and thus exonerated him. This incident led WC to the nickname "The Killah". Before WC became a member of the Westside Connection, he began his career with underground rap groups such as "Low Profile" and "The Maad Circle". The debut album of "Westside Connection" was a great success. The album went platinum and was number 2 on the Billboard chart. The single Bow Down came to number 21 on the US charts.
In 1998 WC's debut album The Shadiest One landed in the top 20 of the US album charts with the singles Cheddar , Just Clownin and Better Days . The follow-up album Ghetto Heisman , which was released in 2002, also made it into the top 20 of the album charts. The next album WCs was released in 2007 and is entitled Guilty by Affiliation . The album was released through Lench Mob Records. The rapper was also most recently heard on Ice Cube's album Laugh Now, Cry Later , which was released in 2006.
