Nate Dogg
Nate Dogg (* 19th August 1969 in Clarksdale , Mississippi ; † 15. March 2011 in Long Beach , California ; bourgeois Nathaniel Dwayne Hale ) was an American R & B - singer who frequently at Rapliedern joined other artists in appearance.
Life
Nate Dogg was born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale in Clarksdale, Mississippi, where his father preached as a pastor for a Baptist denomination. Because of him he joined the church choir and sang in the New Hope Trinity church choir from an early age. Nate grew up in normal and regulated family circumstances. At the age of 16, he left high school to join the Marine Corps .
In 1990 he moved to California to concentrate on his music career. A year later he formed the hip-hop trio 213 with his cousin Snoop Doggy Dogg and Warren G , a stepbrother of Dr. Dre . Until then, Nate Dogg had often dealt with the police because of his involvement in the drug scene. In 2000, he was arrested again by the police after kidnapping his ex-girlfriend. A SWAT emergency team hired him. However, he was released on bail of $ 1 million.
In 1993 he got a contract with Death Row Records. He had already participated regularly on the label's publications, such as on Dr. Dres solo debut The Chronic . He began work on his first solo album, G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 , although production was repeatedly disrupted as the tracks recorded for it, such as Ain't No Fun or Regulate, were determined by the label boss Suge Knight for other releases. For this reason, his solo album was not finished until three years later. However, the album was only on the market for a few days before the further sale of Nate Dogg was stopped by a court order. As a result, Nate Dogg left the label and together with a friend founded his own label called the Dogg Foundation , on which he then released his actual solo album with Breakaway Entertainment in 1998, entitled G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2 . However, the label no longer exists since the death of his friend and business partner. He then got hired by Elektra Music, where he released Music & Me and its official successor with the title Nate Dogg as a digital album.
Sickness, death and controversy
Dogg suffered a stroke on December 19, 2007 and was temporarily paralyzed on one side. Another stroke followed in autumn 2008. He died on the night of March 16, 2011 at the age of 41 of complications from his third stroke. Since his death, Dogg has often been referred to as the "King of G-Funk ". His producer and record manager David Michery had covered all the treatment and funeral costs, which had totaled $ 300,000, and publicly accused in an interview that none of his former friends, acquaintances or other profiteers wanted to participate, and Nate Dogg in the last Had been left completely alone for days and weeks of his life. These allegations sparked a fierce controversy within the scene. B. Warren G saying that he had done the best he could and Daz Dillinger threatened to sue Michery and in return cursed Michery as a thief because he was forced to bring out unpublished songs by Nate Dogg without consultation in order to pay the costs cover.
