The Wiener Neustadt public utilities and municipal services GmbH (WNSKS) are in Wiener Neustadt -based municipal company, which mainly operates the transport and waste management throughout the region. The company was founded in 2003.
Transport company
The WNSKS buses use a network of around 799 km in length; over 6 million passengers are transported annually.
Lines
City buses
The lines within Wiener Neustadt are designated with the letters A to H, K and L. They start in the city center on the Ring and drive radially in all directions. All lines (except line L) run every half hour on weekdays and go around the ring in a clockwise direction. All lines (except G and L) are grouped into line bundles (A / H, B / F, C / K, D / E), which means that a bus runs alternately on these two lines. The flying line change takes place at the beginning of the ring. From March 20, 2017 to June 30, 2017 there will be a test phase for the operation of electric buses on a city center line. Line L runs only twice a day on weekdays (and once a day on Sundays) to the training area of the police special unit " Gendarmerie-Einsatzkommando Cobra ". There is no operation on Sundays and public holidays (except A / H, L). The two large bus stations are located on the Ring, on the main square and at the train station, where all city buses stop. The stops on the ring are equipped with passenger information displays (red LED displays) (across lines).

Vehicle fleet
The municipal utilities have invested heavily in the modernization of the vehicle fleet in recent years. In 2005 only used single vehicles were still in use (the spectrum ranged from MAN articulated buses to small buses of the Neoplan Metroliner type).

The articulated buses are mainly used on lines A / H and the repeater line (D) BHF - HTL.
In Wiener Neustadt, great value is placed on informative destination displays. Even at the time of the colorful second-hand vehicle fleet, the Stadtwerke vehicles were equipped with (small) LC displays, the labels of which changed according to the course of the journey. In this point, the transport companies of other cities - including the federal capital - can take an example, which drive through to the end station with already passed “intermediate destinations” (if one is specified at all).
Waste management and sewage disposal
The WNSKS operate all of the district's garbage collection. They are also responsible for the sewers.
