WP Suspension , official company name WP Performance Systems GmbH , is an Austrian manufacturer of components for motorcycle chassis . The company was founded in 1977 as White Power Suspension BV in Malden , the Netherlands by Wim Peters and is currently the largest European manufacturer of wheel suspensions for motorcycles.

The characteristic optical feature of the brand are the white coil springs on the suspension struts , which also led to the original brand name White Power . Sporting successes in professional racing at the end of the 1970s and 1980s established the company's reputation as a manufacturer of high-quality chassis parts.

At the end of the 1980s, the company developed from an aftermarket manufacturer to an original equipment manufacturer for KTM , Husaberg and BMW .

After the bankruptcy in 1991 and the subsequent re-establishment, the WP Suspension brand replaced the name White Power . In 1995 KTM Power Sports took over the company, since 2008 WP Performance Systems GmbH has been part of the Austrian Cross Motorsport Systems AG , a subsidiary of Cross Industries AG , to which KTM Power Sports AG also belongs. No chassis components have been produced in the former main plant in Malden, the Netherlands, since 2009.
