Calf legge
Wade Legge (born February 4, 1934 in Huntington , West Virginia , † August 15, 1963 in Buffalo , New York) is an American jazz pianist .
Wade Legge became a professional musician at the age of fourteen and had a duo with bassist Lou Hackney . In 1951 Milt Jackson recommended him to Dizzy Gillespie , with whom he was engaged from 1952 to 1955 and visited Europe (Paris) with him in 1953. Legge then worked freelance in New York for several years . a. at Johnny Richards , made records with Pete Brown , Jimmy Cleveland , Charles Mingus ( Tonight at Noon ), Joe Roland and Sonny Rollins and under his own name in Europe (1953). He made Cool Breeze (1947).
