Wahid Ahmadi

Wahid Ahmadi ( Persian وحید احمدی; * 1953 in Kermanshah ) is an Iranian diplomat and politician .

Life

He attended a madrasa in Qom , is a master of fiqh at the Islamic Azad University in Mashhad Khoda Karam, a clergyman and a member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard .

From January 31, 2007 to March 11, 2009 he was ambassador in Rabat . For the constituencies of Sahneh and Harsin in the district of Kangavar , he was a member of the third Iranian shura from 1988 to 1992 and the ninth shura from 2012 to 2016 . In the ninth shura, he was a member of the Foreign Policy Committee, the Defense Committee and the Foreign Policy Committee.

Positions on the Western Sahara conflict

The Moroccan government quotes him as follows on the conflict over the Western Sahara , which has been annexed by Morocco in violation of international law : Iranian ambassador to Morocco says the proposal for Moroccan autonomy is "constructive"

The proposal of Moroccan autonomy in the southern provinces was "constructive" and "likely a solution to the Sahara conflict," said the Iranian ambassador to Morocco, Mr Wahid Ahmadi, and stressed that his country's position on the conflict has changed since Iran has not changed has frozen its relationship with Frente Polisario 17 years ago ".

Speaking at a meeting with the Moroccan press in Rabat on April 2, 2007, the Iranian diplomat said his country welcomed "any initiative to resolve this conflict".

When asked whether Iranians took part in the pseudo-celebrations organized by Frente Polisario in the Tifariti buffer zone, Wahid Ahmadi replied that "this information comes from the Algerian media".

"We have followed this issue and sent letters and we are waiting for replies," he added.
